7 Idiot Ways to Slow Down Your Vista !

If your computer is too fast for you, just follow the 10 methods outline here, I guarantee your Vista will never be slower!

Method #1 - Decreases your RAM
This is my favorite way, just take out or downgrade your RAM to 512 MB, anything below that your computer will not move!

Method #2 - Do not use ReadyBoost
ReadyBoost will accelerate your computer faster, especially after you downgraded your RAM, you must remove it or your computer will not be slower.

Method #3 - Install more software
If you want to slow down start up, just install as much start up software (Skype, messenger, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware...) as possible, guarantee to work every time. Also remember to go to command prompt and type "msconfig", find the "Startup" tab and check all boxes, this will ensure all start up programs to run during logon!

Method #4 - Enable page file but decrease the size
Page file will act as virtual memory to your Vista, if not enable, please do so, or some of the "memory hungry" program will not work. To further delay the application launch time, decrease your page file size accordingly, you need to test multiple times before getting the smallest size but just sufficient to run your application! Suggested size is 256 MB.

Method #5 - Turn off memory optimizer
Never use memory optimizer on your Vista, they are too effective for the small RAM machine, you want Vista to cache previous application and take up available RAM, so new application will forced to switch between page file and memory during launching, this will effectively increase your launch time.

Method #6 - Turn on most background services
Go to Windows menu and type "services", then enter to activate services control panel. Now set all services to automatic start during boot time, this will guarantee to almost freeze your Vista! You need to do it few at a step, you want Vista to slow down but not freeze completely! Try to activate few and restart until your Vista is frozen, then reverse the step and turn off those services that freeze your computer.

Method #7 - Assign high priority to start up programs
You can assign all start up program to run at high or highest priority, each other will fight for more resources and slow down your system dramatically. Use this command in your registry key => HKEYLOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun:

C:WindowsSystem32 cmd. exe /c start "title" /MIN {/LOW|/BELOWNORMAL|/NORMAL|/ABOVENORMAL|/HIGH|/ REALTIME} /AFFINITY {1,2,4,8 or Add Up} "directoryprogram. exe" program_parameters

If you follow what I outline here, your Vista will be slower. However, if you want to speed up your Vista, reverse the method.
