Many "expert" will argue about memory optimizer, they insist memory optimizer does not serve it purpose at all, I think they are WRONG! One simple question, if you find anything more than 10 variants, there is a demand! Just types "memory optimizer" in Goolge, see how many software out there, then you know what I mean. From my personal experience, memory optimizer is very effective on the low memory machine, especially computer with 1 GB or less.
Please be careful when choosing memory optimizer, some are over priced and some are just hijack-ware, which you can't uninstall later and will inject more unwanted software or spyware to your computer! If possible, backup your hard disk image.
Tip #1 - Try freeware edition before buy!
There are many freeware editions out there, use them on your computer and see if it's helped, if not then try a couple more to decide on which you should use. Some works very well, but some are just for show!
Tip #2 - Compares freeware edition with commercial edition
If freeware edition works well with you, then no point to purchase a commercial edition, unless it provides more added features and effectiveness, or there is no reason for you to spend money at all! Some commercial optimizer build in process priority manager, you can use it to manage and lower your background process priority, and free more resources for foreground application.
Tip #3 - Do not use it on high memory PC
It will slow down your high memory system by interfering the cache on the application software. Vista works very well with the high RAM machine utilizing the advanced memory manager and Superfetch technology. These technologies will speed up software loading time by pre-catching some part of the software, dramatically increase software launching speed!
As a conclusion, use it with your low memory computer, when you have more RAMs, remember to remove it.
