Why Choose Xp Over Vista ? Get Them Both !
Every computer enthusiast is screaming to throw away Vista and use XP instead. I won't argue if you are using XP now, what if you are getting a new PC? Do you still ask for XP? I seriously urge you to reconsider, because you can keep both advantages if you choose Vista!
Bad things about Vista
Just to name a few:
1. Vista is big and bulgy
2. Full of fancy but unwanted features
3. Consumed too much memory
4. Slow start up
5. Slow files' transfer
...There are tons of these complaints on the net, but the fact still remain: Vista included most features available in XP, meaning you can remove those features and downgrade to XP similar Windows! Therefore, my question is: Why do you still go for XP if your Vista can be XP? Stability? Don't think so.
Good things about Vista
You cannot ignore Vista advanced services to deliver better experience! Trust me on this: Vista will stabilize eventually, and to enjoy the potential of future hardware upgrades, you should always consider Vista rather than XP! Even for office user, just strip all the functions until became XP! You don't want to spend more money in the future to enjoy Vista when it's finally stabilized.
Some tweak to speed up Vista
There are many information and tools to tweak Vista and speed up Vista dramatically! You should use them to your advantages, I guarantee your Vista will never be slower than XP!
Conclusion: Use Windows XP if you are just upgrading your hardware, you don't have to buy a new license. However, if you are purchasing new hardware, save your money on Vista so that you don't have to upgrade your Windows later, I think you already know the math, don't be confused by the rumors!
